Parent/guest access
Students may grant access to one or more parents or guests to view select information or make a payment on the student’s account. Some common examples for this access is to allow the parent/guest to:
- View the student account and billing statement
- Make a payment
- View grades (via the unofficial transcript)
- View financial aid
- View class schedule
Other than the ability to make a payment, parent/guest access is "view only". Your preferred name will appear to parents and/or guests if you grant them access to information on your student record. Your primary/legal name may also appear (more information is available).
Once established, parents/guests access their student's information through MyU.
You can grant access to your parent or guest through the My Info tab of MyU (see step-by-step instructions). You may also revoke access any time, without notice to the parent or guest.
When your student grants you access to their information, you will receive an email notification. You will need to follow the instructions in the email to complete the process (see step-by-step instructions).
Once established, you will access your student's information through MyU. You may find the following “How To Guides” helpful:
