Prepare for your appointment
It is helpful to indicate what you would like to discuss before meeting with a financial wellness counselor, but not absolutely necessary. If you already know what you would like to discuss, indicate that when you schedule your appointment. In order to get the most out of your appointment, consider taking the following actions:
- Write down specific questions or concerns to bring to the appointment.
- Consider what information to share with the counselor that might help them better help you.
- Know your login information for the Federal Student Aid website; if you plan to discuss student loans, logging in to view your student loans during the appointment will be helpful.
