Minnesota State Grant

The Minnesota State Grant helps students from low and moderate income families pay for college. To be considered for this grant, you must be a Minnesota resident pursuing your first undergraduate certificate or degree.

Application deadline

Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be submitted to the federal processing center by June 30th in the aid year in which you are applying in order to be considered for Minnesota State Grant funding. If you miss the deadline, you will not be eligible for a Minnesota State Grant.

Prorated grant

Your Minnesota State Grant may be prorated if you enroll in fewer than 15 credits per semester.
