Tuition Waiver for Blind Students

This is a tuition waiver for legally blind undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree seeking students who are Minnesota residents.

To complete this form, your physician, ophthalmologist, and/or campus Disability Resource Center (DRC) Access Consultant must complete and sign SECTION B.

Use this form if...

You meet all of the following requirements:

  • Legally blind (vision is no better than 20/200 or 20 degrees of visual field in the better eye)
  • Minnesota resident who meets the University’s definition of residency
  • Enrolled in a credit-bearing course(s) that charge(s) tuition NOT enrolled in a fee-based program, study abroad program or National Student Exchange with host pay option.

Don't use this form if...

You are:

  • Not legally blind
  • Not a Minnesota resident
  • Not enrolled in a credit-bearing course(s)
  • Enrolled in a fee-based program, study abroad program, or National Student Exchange with host pay option.
