Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards ensure that you are successfully completing your coursework and can continue to receive financial aid. All students receiving financial aid are required to meet SAP standards. If you are not meeting SAP standards, you'll receive an email notice before the beginning of the next term. You may appeal your SAP status if you have experienced any of the extenuating circumstances.
To complete this form, you will be asked to:
- Provide a detailed summary of why you have not been able to meet SAP standards.
- Provide a detailed statement on what changes you will take to improve your academic performance.
- Attach any supporting documentation (could include doctor statements/bills, legal documents, statements from outside professionals, letter from employer, etc.).
Use this form if...
You have not met the SAP standards due to unusual circumstances. Examples of unusual circumstances include, but are not limited to:
- divorce
- serious illness or injury
- personal issues
- death of a family member
- documented disability
- a return to school after an extended period of absence
Don't use this form if...
- You meet the SAP standards.
