Activate Registration (non-degree undergraduate only)

This form is intended for individuals who wish to enroll in undergraduate courses at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus without being admitted to a degree program. You may submit this form up to two terms in advance of your intended registration.

To complete this from you will need to provide a valid photo identification:

  • Upload a clear, recognizable, unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver's license, passport). Multiple files can be uploaded if necessary. These documents are used solely for processing this request and are not stored long-term.

Use this form if...

  • You are seeking to take undergraduate classes without being admitted to a degree program.
     

Don't use this form if...

  • You are seeking readmission after being inactive; instead, contact your college office for readmission instructions.
  • You aim to receive graduate credit and are not admitted to a graduate program; in this case, complete the Registration Request for Graduate Credit form.

Next steps

  • University staff will review your request within three business days. You'll be notified once your student record is activated, enabling you to register for classes.
  • If you do not have two consecutive terms of non-enrollment, you can continue to register for future terms as a non-degree undergraduate without resubmitting this form.
