Change your college within the Twin Cities campus

To transfer from one college to another within the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, please complete the following steps.

Step 1: Meet with your current academic adviser to discuss your plan.


Step 2: Investigate College or department transfer requirements


Step 3: Make sure you meet the college deadlines for applying.


Step 4: The following programs require you to submit supplemental application materials:


Step 5: Complete the Change of College application.

If you wish to withdraw your application at any time, you must notify the Office of the Registrar or you will not be able to continue in your current college.

 

Change of college deadlines

Priority deadlines: Colleges with priority deadlines will give full consideration to all applications received and complete by that date. Applications received or completed after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Some programs may close their admissions before the final deadline.

Change your campus

To transfer from one campus to another within the University of Minnesota, you must meet the admissions requirements of the campus you wish to attend. There may be specific requirements for particular majors within each college.
