Duplicate courses
Duplicate courses are courses that may have changed name or identifier, but have the same course content.
References in prerequisite statements to old courses that had the same course content (e.g., 'same as: PE 1990' or 'same as: 1431') are deleted after 2 years: To avoid registering for a course that duplicates work you have previously completed, check with your college office.
Repeating courses
Some colleges permit a course to be repeated only when a student failed to earn a grade of C or better in the course. Some colleges allow a student to retake a course in which a passing grade of C or better was earned. Check with your adviser. In those instances when a college or campus permits a student to repeat a course
- (a) all grades for the course shall appear on the official transcript,
- (b) the course credits may not be counted more than once toward degree and program requirements, and
- (c) only the last enrollment for the course shall count in the student's grade point average.
See repeating topics courses for more information.
