Multicultural student scholarships
- The Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence (MCAE) provides all students with academic and culturally sensitive services that promote student success. MCAE offers scholarships and provides a resource list of available scholarships, as well as a scholarship resource room, in room 125, Klaeber Ct. - The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Programs Office provides academic and career services, advocacy, and community for all GLBT students at the University. The office offers three scholarships that are coordinated by Philanthrofund. For more information, go to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Programs Web site.
- The Office for University Women offers scholarships to women 28 years of age and older who are seeking a degree from the University of Minnesota after a five year or longer break in their education. The center also provides grants of up to $300 to undergraduate women traveling to conferences or engaging in study abroad. For more information, go to the Office for University Women Web site.
- The Office for Multicultural and Academic Affairs (OMAA) promotes a welcoming and diverse learning environment for students from traditionally underrepresented groups, including women, people of color, people with disabilities, and gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. The Bookmark Incentive Program provides textbooks for multicultural students who can demonstrate financial need. OMAA also coordinates the Jackie Robinson, Kirby Puckett, and Ethel Curry scholarships available for multicultural students. - The Learning Abroad Center offers a UMTC Diversity Scholarship to encourage a diversity of participants to study abroad.
