Multicultural student scholarships

  • The Office for Equity and Diversity (OED) is responsible for the University of Minnesota's equity and diversity initiatives and programs, and for infusing the core values of equity and diversity into all aspects of teaching, learning, research, service, and outreach at the University. OED coordinates several scholarships for diverse students, including the Jackie Robinson, Kirby Puckett, and Ethel Curry scholarships and the Scholarly Excellence in Equity and Diversity (SEED) Awards.   • The Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence (MCAE) develops and fosters inclusive, cohesive learning for undergraduate students through educational support programs, community engagement, cultural activities, and campus-wide collaborations. MCAE administers a number of scholarships for multicultural students and also maintains a Scholarship Resource Room to help students identify and apply for scholarships.   • Disability Services offers scholarships for students with disabilities, including "Access Abroad" scholarships, the Warner CF Scholarship, and the Buuck Family Fund Scholarship. For more information, visit DS scholarships.

  • The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Ally (GLBTA) Programs Office provides academic and career services, advocacy, and community for GLBTA students at the University.   • The Learning Abroad Center offers a UMTC Diversity Scholarship to encourage a diversity of participants to study abroad.
