Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is the largest of the federal need-based grant programs. It is awarded automatically to students who qualify based on your FAFSA application results.
To receive this grant, you must be an undergraduate student who has not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. (A professional degree is usually earned in a field such as medicine, law, or dentistry after earning a bachelor's degree.)
- The Pell Grant amount you receive depends on your financial need and your enrollment (the number of credits you take.)
- To receive the Pell Grant, your FAFSA must be received by the federal government by the last day you are enrolled and are eligible for payment.
- You cannot receive a Pell Grant at more than one school concurrently.

Summer 2011 Pell Grants
2010-2011 and 2011-2012 Pell eligible students may receive Pell Grant in summer semester 2011. The summer Pell award is based on summer enrollment levels and the number of credits earned in the prior academic year.
