Please pay close attention to these important financial aid timelines. See also Academic Dates & Deadlines.

April 30 Summer financial aid disbursement begins for medical, dental, and veterinary medical students
May 1-15 May/summer financial aid awarding begins for undergraduate, law, and Graduate School students
May 20 Last day to work using fall/spring work-study awards

May session and 14-week classes begin

First day to work using May/summer work-study awards

Summer financial aid disbursement begins for law students

May 29 Law School summer session classes begin
June 5 Summer financial aid disbursement begins for undergraduate and graduate students
June 8 End of three-week May session
June 11 Classes begin for 4- (first), 8-, and 10-week summer sessions
June 19 Your 2011-12 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be received by the federal processor for 2012 May/summer Minnesota State Grant consideration
June 20 Last day to submit a valid Perkins Loan promissory note
June 24 DEADLINE: You must complete all May/summer registration for full summer financial aid consideration
June 30 DEADLINE: Your 2011-2012 FAFSA must be received by the federal processor on or before this date. Be sure to include the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities school code 003969 on the FAFSA have your FAFSA results sent to the University. If you already filed a 2011-2012 FAFSA but did not request school code 003969, please see a One Stop counselor.
July 4

May/summer bill #1 is due: 100 percent

July 7 End of first 4-week summer session
July 9 Second 4-week summer session begins
July 25 UM Regents Scholarship deadline to apply for summer term
August 1 May/summer bill #2 is due: 100 percent
August 3

End of second 4-week & 8-week summer sessions

DEADLINES:
Last day to be considered for May/summer aid
Last day to submit a valid PLUS promissory note

August 12 DEADLINE: Last day to submit a valid subsidized or unsubsidized Direct Loan, Grad PLUS, or UTFL promissory note
August 17

End of 10-week summer session

Last disbursement of May/summer financial aid

August 22 May/summer bill #3 is due: 100 percent
August 23 End of 14-week summer session
August 26 Last day to work using summer 2012 work-study awards
